January 2021 Blog
The month of January is often a month to plan and to set certain goals. I have already got myself a new diary as I like to write on different coloured ‘Post It’ notes and stick them in to the days of the week.
It is then easy to refer to these; I prefer a manual diary rather than having to keep everything on a mobile.
That reminds me – I need to renew my annual subscription to ‘Living from Art’, which is a group of artists and creatives founded and run by Anna Poulton in Cheltenham.
I joined this group about four years ago. Anna organises keynote speakers to give advice on every aspect of art and business – such as marketing, pricing, sales techniques, framing, to name but a few. This friendly group is growing in size.
The web address is www.livingfromart.co.uk
There is also a private Facebook group available once you become a member.
Anna is very supportive, and promotes local opportunities to take part in – such as exhibitions and pop ups.
Meetings take place at the Wilson art gallery in Cheltenham. These meetings are usually monthly taking place on Thursdays. During the pandemic we have been meeting on Zoom.
The next online Zoom workshop will be presented by Tom Chard from Redcliffe Imaging about fine art prints.
‘Fine Art Prints – how, why, what’ 21st January – 7 to 9pm
This can be booked via the Living from Art website.
